The next date is already fixed. The house will blink in the BlinkenArea [Level C] at the 20th Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin at the Alexanderplatz from the 27th to the 29th of December.

In summer 2003 the Chaos Communication Camp
was on the plan. I had a vision of an area with blinking
projects. So I wrote to all people I knew with these kinds of projects. Spontanously we founded the BlinkenArea and from the 5th to the 10th of August it properly blinked at the paddock. We were in between 1800 people with tents, computers, kilometres of cables, electronics, telephone infrastructure(analog, ISDN, DECT), hundrets of projects and everything what a hacker heart desires. 3 diesel agreggates (1x redundant) were supplying us with power and a 155 Mbit directional connection to Berlin supplied Internet. At this point I want to mention, that before the camp there was nothing at this 60000
square meters paddock, besides horses (which probably never will get over the cultural shock of these days). The BlinkenArea was a big success. The complete documentation can be seen under http://littlelights.de/camp/. Because the BlinkenArea worked out very well, we decided to work on in this group under http://blinkenarea.grumpfzotz.org/.

Because of the Girls'Day at the 8th of May 2003 the Littlelights house will stand in the natural scientific technological academy in Isny. The project is a nationwide campaign to attract girls for natural scientific and technological study courses and professions. The Girls'Day this year took place for the third time, all over Germany there were around 3800 events and over 100.000 girls participated.

At the 15th of march 2003 the house will be in Isny. The project LittleLights will be presented at the "day of open doors" in the natural scientific technological academy. The slides of the lecture are linked in the download section.

Straight from Berlin back to Isny in the Allgäu: in the night from the 31st of December 2002 to the 1st of January 2003 the house blinked at the most spectacular New Year's Eve party ;-).

Short after the house was finished it already went on tour. From the 25th to the 29th of December 2002 it could be seen at the 19th Chaos Communication Congress in the lab. Some impressions you can find in the review.
